WORKING TITLE Case Study

Working Title is a British subsidiary film production company that was founded in 1983 and is owned by Universal Studios. IT’s head quarters are based in London but have offices in Ireland and LA. It produces feature films and has produced several television productions. They were responsible for producing ‘Love Actually.’

Love Actually is a 2003 British Christmas themed romantic comedy film, which was written and directed by Richard Cutis. The main cast consists mainly of British Actors. The budget of the film was £30 million and the box office money that was made was $246,942,017. Even though it was mainly a British film, it was released in America first on the 14Th November and was released in Britain on the 21st November. Love Actually was distributed by universal pictures, studio canal, working title films and in association with DNA films. Love Actually proved to be very successful for the company, since it made a huge amount on money when it was released. It also seems to have benefited the UK film industry. It has been filmed mainly in the UK and most of the casts are British themselves. People have said when they watch the film, it is a good representation of British people, and that they felt proud to be British.
